Starting in 2017, the Ayr & District Flower Show was established to continue the traditional flower show that Ayr has long been associated with. Our completely new show has since been held each year at Ayr Racecourse with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to the covid pandemic.
Now holding our fifth show, the Ayr & District Flower Show goes back to the roots of being all about the exhibits that are on display with a real horticulture and gardening feel to the event. We are a small committee that are involved in running the show, and we have put every effort into creating an event that is inclusive to everyone and celebrates the exhibitors hard work throughout the year. After taking a break the last few years as a result of covid, the show is back and bigger than before - with more traders, schedule classes and hopefully visitors.
More than just flowers and vegetables on display, we welcome exhibits from baking to handicrafts, photography and a junior section, as well as much more which can be found on display today.
We’re sure that there really is something there for everyone so if you’re not involved this year,
make sure you are next year by signing up for first access of the 2023 schedule.
As well as the amazing exhibits on show, the Ayr & District Flower Show also welcomes various different musical acts over the two days which acts as the perfect backdrop for the weekend. We also welcome a wide variety of traders to the show, with more than 60 getting involved this year.
With the support of the general public, we have been able to put on a flower show for Ayrshire and further afield which hopefully can continue for many years to come.
